Antoine D'Agata

Since I began to photograph, my pictures imposed themselves to me as a diary. My practice is inseparable of my experiences. I can’t imagine doing it in an other way. I photograph what I live while I live it. I can’t take pictures if I am not the actor of the situations in which I intervene or provoke. This commitment is to me the unique and acceptable legitimacy of the photographic act. The other practices come under the photo-journalism or the voyeurism. The photography prevent the concomitant development of seeing the world and experimenting it.
